I did this on sumi paper, then added a flat layer of color in photoshop. It seemed too wishy washy without, even though I'm trying not to do too much digital work here.

Delicious! I kind of wish the colors on the upper face had a bit more texture to them (the neck has more marker-like strokes, for example), but dude, the energy in your brushwork is killer. Love it!

Thanks Gale. Yeah, the paper is weird, it gives you amazing bleeds but it can also go in a bad direction quickly. You can't really tell what you're going to get. I definitely like parts of this too but it's not quite an 'A'.
